Peace on Earth!

Hello Again!

Gosh hard to believe I am back here again with another card creation, it seems my mojo has returned and when I have a quiet moment I have been back in the craft room just creating for fun...

This card I created was using non Christmas stamps, in fact it is a set from Papertrey Ink called Fresh Florals, this was from the Fall Release and I wanted to share that you can stretch other stamps in your collection to create Christmas related cards...

I took a circle die and lightly drew around it onto a piece of white card stock, so I would have a base to work a wreath around...

I then took several stamps from Fresh Florals and inks from Pinkfresh Studio and began to add layers to create a wreath, once I was happy with the look I then took a stamp from an older stamp set from MFT Stamps called Bitty Holiday Wishes, stamping Peace on Earth to a piece of Black Licorice card stock and embossing with Gold Embossing Powder, die cutting using Skinny Strips die, adding this to the centre of the wreath..

I completed this card by adding gold and clear sequins along with red enamel dots..

I hope you find some inspiration to pull out sets that are not necessarily related to that holiday or season that we are currently in and create a card..

Have a wonderful day!

Mod and Merry!

Happy Sunday to you all!

Spent sometime in the craft room this afternoon and it felt good to just sit and create, to which I don't get a lot of time of especially at this time of the year running my business..

I had received some goodies from MFT Stamps and was excited to pull out my box and play around with one of the latest sets called Mod and Merry..

Such a fun set and so versatile to create so many cards with..

I had a surf around on Pinterest to get the creative juices flowing and found a card with a tree that looked like it had small images to create the image of a tree, so that was my inspiration to this card..

I took a blank piece of white card stock and placing some masking tape to create an outline of a tree, I then took stamps from the Mod and Merry stamp set and stamped in colours of Red Hot, Ripe Raspberry, Sno Cone, Cement Gray, Wild Cherry, Tropical Teal, Summer Splash, Cornflower and Blue Yonder..

I then trimmed out the stamped piece and added to a white card base..

Moving onto a sentiment that I took from the Sweetest Holiday Wishes, stamping onto some Black Licorice card stock that I then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder..Adding this to the base of the card with a strip of Red Hot card stock..

Completing the card by adding this to a Cement Gray card base and some clear and gold sequins..

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Deepest Sympathy!

Hello Again!

Been in the craft room this afternoon, playing around with Papertrey Ink products..

Deciding to create a Sympathy card with these products, I know that a lot of people struggle to create these types of cards, figured it was good to show some products from Fresh Florals Stamp set and Love to Layer - Leaves Die..

I die cut some leaves out of white card stock and added inks to create a more Autumn toned leaves, wetting the card stock and scrunching the card stock to give more dimension.

With stamps from the Fresh Florals Stamp Set, I created an inked background, adding a sentiment from the same stamp set..

I then added my leaves and finished off with some pearls for more accents.

This is one card I feel could be given to more of a male recipient but would work for anyone...

I am hoping this gives you some inspiration to look through your stash and realise we can use products from Autumn collections to create something other then Autumn..

Hoping to be back again soon with more card, this time with MFT..

Have a great rest of the day!

Papertrey Ink - Fun Frames Leaves!

Hello Everyone!

Back again with another card creation for you..

The lovely girls from Papertrey Ink invited me to create some cards with the latest August release products, so excited to bring you some creations sharing these wonderful products..

Papertrey Ink has been a company that I have not only drooled over their products for years but also the designers and the amazing creations that they come up with each month..

So when given the opportunity to work with the gorgeous products I could not say no as this is a dream come true, so thank you Papertrey Ink and especially my good friend Melissa Phillips for asking me to guest design for you..

So my first cards I wanted the show piece to be the Fun Frames Leaves die and in my true style of simplicity, I chose to die cut out of white card stock and blend some inks of Autumn tones onto the leaves..

With the selections of inks I still had on my table I took a white card base and added some grey tones to the centre of the card stock so it would make the frames die cut stand out..

I added the die cut to the white card base and taking some sentiments from the Give Thanks Sentiments I stamped with black ink onto more white card stock, trimming each of these down and adding to the front of the card along with some clear sequins to complete the look..

I will be back again in a couple of days with yet another creation for you to feast your eyes on..in the meantime, check out the new release at HERE and also the blog for loads of inspiration from the team..

Have a great rest of the day!

Lovely Layers Wildflowers!

Hello Again!

Gosh, this must be quite a shock seeing 2 posts from me almost together...I had a lovely weekend creating in the craft room, albeit only a couple of cards, but it was nice to be back in there just creating for fun..

So today, I chose to use another set from Honeybee Stamps called Lovely Layers Wildflowers and create a sympathy card, these types are cards are not only handy in my Florist business but ones that we also find hard to create, so I hope this card gives you some inspiration..

I die cut one of the flowers and added dimension where I could with ink blending and some foam tape..

I took some Sno Cone card stock and die cut a circle window to which I added to a white card base and using a scrap piece I did some foiling using the Dazzling Diamonds from Spellbinders, along with foiling a sentiment from the Sentiments for Everyday..

Adhering all these pieces to the front of the card and completing by adding some pearls..

I hope you enjoy the rest of the day, I will be hitting the Florist Studio after lunch to complete some work ahead of a fresh load of flowers that will be due in tomorrow..

Have a wonderful day!

Layering Dogwood!

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I am finally back creating cards yet again...it's been quite busy running my little business of late, with Mother's Day being huge and recovering from all of the mammoth lead up and a huge 19hrs of standing and creating flowers for all those lovely Mum's out there, needless to say I haven't had much time in between to do much else and when I have had that time, all I have wanted to do is veg out in front of the TV..

This weekend however we are on a long weekend and it has been so nice to just be able to take sometime and create in the craft room..

So I pulled out the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Dogwood set and went about die cutting pieces and gluing together, giving dimension where I could with foam tape..

I added this to a circle die cut that I had embossed with the Spellbinders Orange Peel Embossing Folder, adding this to a white card base, but having it hang off the edge of the card..

I took the matching stamp and die set called Birthday Wishes also from Honey Bee Stamps and embossed with white embossing powder onto Cement Gray card stock from MFT Stamps, adding the sentiment under the Layered Dogwood..

I kept to my normal style of clean and simple..

I have to admit it was a lot of die cutting and putting together, one which needed patience from me and sometimes I don't have a lot of LOL but still enjoyed the process..

I hope that you all like the card and thanks for stopping by today..hoping to jump into the craft room this afternoon and create more..

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Magnolia!

Hello!

Hope you all having a great Easter...it has turned to cooler weather here today and some more needed rain yesterday, which has been lovely..

It was lovely sitting in the craft room yesterday and watching the storms roll in..hope your all having a crafty day today..

So I pulled out an older MFT stamps set called Magnolia Blossoms, I think this is now a retired set but I still find that colouring flower images and keeping it very simple on the card can make for some really pretty cards, for this one I decided to create a sympathy card...as we all know these are the types of cards that are really hard to create and yet hard to find some inspiration for too, so hopefully this card creation gives you some inspiration to pull out your flower stamps and create something similar..

I stamped the image out onto white card stock, coloured in with Copics and Polychromo Pencils, cut around the image using the Brother Scan n Cut..

I then took a panel of white card stock, added some blending with Doe ink from Pinkfresh Studio, added some Cement Gray card stock strips to the base of the panel, added my image along with a stamped and embossed sentiment from Taylored Expressions, Simple Strips Background and completed the card by adding some pearls..

Enjoy the rest of your day and I look forward to being back here again soon with another project!
