Fairy Dance!

Happy Sunday!

Spent a little time in the craft room yesterday and had some fun colouring up images from Hello Bluebird, Fairy Dance...super sweet little fairies, I also loved the large mushrooms from the Garden Party set..

Choosing then to blend some Pinkfresh Studio inks onto white card stock, flicking some water over the top for some added interest and taking an older set from MFTstamps, Stitched Dome Stax, die cutting a panel out of the inked card stock and also a white panel...

Adding these to a white card base and with the left over inked card stock, I chose to create some hills using the Open Waves Scene adding to the inked panel I had glued to the base of the card..

I then added my fairies and mushrooms and completed this card by stamping and embossing a sentiment onto Black Licorice card stock from the Bitty Birthday Wishes, die cutting this using the Skinny Strips, adding this under the scene and completed with Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh..

Best Adventure!

Hello there!

Happy Friday to you all! 

It seems to have been quite a long week here, so I am pleased it is about to head into the weekend, looking forward to some downtime in the craft room this weekend too..

Still tweaking this little blog and also trying to get clearer photos, this one is a bit better but still not where I want them to be, so please bare with me as I re learn all my skills again.. thank you to everyone on Instagram that has tried to help also..anyone have any good tips that they want to share in regards to gaining clearer photos here on blogger, I am all ears!

Earlier on in the week, I had some play time with an older set from MFTstamps called Best Adventure Bear, this was such a sweet set when it was first released and I still love it, so did a very simple layout..

Colouring the image in with Copics and die cutting, then inking up a background panel using Pinkfresh Studio inks, die cutting the Stitched Triple Peek-a-boo die out of white card stock, stamping a sentiment from the Birthday Buds set and adding it to the inked background, then finished off by adding my image and some sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh..

Botanicals and Butterflies!

Hello!

Firstly, before I jump into today's creation, I just wanted to send out a huge note of thanks to each and everyone of you in this beautiful crafting community that has welcomed me back with open arms and such beautiful warmth and kindness, it's like being wrapped in a big hug and I am truly grateful..

So yesterday had a little play time and created a card using multiple companies gorgeous products..

Namely, Pinkfresh Studio, Botanicals and Butterflies stamp, stencil and die set...what fun these are and I am loving the layered stencils to create such a fun look..

Once I finished creating the main image, I also used a Spellbinders, Loops Embossing Folder to create a soft background for the main image..

Finishing off with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions, Simple Strips stamps and die and some Pretty Pink Posh, Sparkling Clear Sequins..

New Blog!

Hello There

It's close to 3 years since I blogged and almost a year since my blog closed down...Wordpress for me was great but with not using it all the time it was costing money that I just did not have spare..

With starting the business that Darryl and I were going to start and putting all my effort, passion and creativity into my new Florist business Willow on the Lane, I found that it was hard to also maintain my card making and crafting..I have now since found a more balanced life and although I don't craft quite as much as I used to, it is nice to pop into the craft room at times and have a little play around..

At first when I did start back up my mojo was completely gone and found it was a little bit of a downer as I thought it had disappeared forever, but not to be, as recently I relaxed and it is back and I am loving it..

What with creating cards and starting to share again, I felt that although these days blogging has taken a back seat to most of the social media aspects of sharing these days, I knew I wanted to keep a record for myself, so here I am again with a new blog similar name to last time Simple by Design, but seeing as I could not restore my previous on I added the S onto Design and so you will all still know who I am and well anyone new they will understand who I am swell..

I hope you will pop in here every now and then and see what I am up to or even if I am not around, please feel free to see my other creative pursuits in my business and follow me over on Instagram there..

Still tweaking this blog but for now I wanted to share the card I created on Saturday and posted on today over on Instagram..

Some products maybe a little older and no longer available for purchase apologies for that as I am just getting back into crafting this will be something that I will have to look at or give you other alternatives to use..
